Dear Mba Dona,

Jadi ada 2 issue ya:

1.Muntah ada darah
Pertama seperti pertanyaan Sps, apakah puting Ibu sedang luka?
Berapa banyak darah nya, kental tidaknya, warnanya apa? Darah segar merah, agak keungunan dll?

Ini ada sedikit copas bacaan mengenai muntah :

"The vomit contains blood. A little blood in the vomit is usually nothing to worry about, as the force of vomiting can cause tiny tears in the blood vessels lining the esophagus. Your baby's vomit may also be tinged with red if he's swallowed blood from a cut in his mouth or a nosebleed within the last six hours. But call the doctor if your baby continues to have blood in his vomit or the amount increases. As mentioned above, if the blood resembles dark coffee grounds, go to the emergency room right away"

http://www.babycenter.com/0_vomiting_9955.bc

2.Kesulitan Menyusu
Latch On sudah tepatkah? ASI Ibu lancar/tidak? Apa ada kesulitan napas ketika menyusu?

Maaf banyak tanya supaya datanya lengkap

mendirikan klinik sehat?? *Mimpi yg sapa tau bisa jadi nyata*

Semoga...

Dear Mba Thita,

Kalau cek Hb nya ketika sedang sakit memang cenderung turun Mba.
Bagaimana kalau Screening ADB sekalian ketika anaknya sudah sehat.

Soal BB stagnan kan banyak faktor Mba, maaf kalau bosan diulang2 pertanyaannya : Bagaimana pola makan, menu makan sehari2, Sudah pernahkan Screening ADB sebelumnya (asumsi belum ya), singkirkan ISK, adakah orang dekat dewasa yg kontak dekat positif Penderita berdasarkan Tes BTA.

"Mba, maaf kalau bosan diulang2 pertanyaannya : Bagaimana pola makan, menu makan sehari2, Sudah pernahkan Screening ADB sebelumnya (asumsi belum ya), singkirkan ISK"

-----
Pertanyaan :

(Saya sediiiiiiiiiiiihhhhh)

2. Anak saya alhamdulillah kondisi semuanya sehat,lincah,aktif.. Hanya makannya ga bisa banyak porsinya.. Perlukah saya tetep screeening ADB dan tes urin ? Meskipun segala kondisi nya "terlihat"baik2 saja ?? Bgmn menjelaskan ke dsa nya ya .. Secara ndak ada apa2 mau minta tes lab ?

3. Kalo tes screening ADB diambil darahnya dg cara disuntik .. Kalo tes urin & kultur urin gmn caranya ya ?
Dipasangi keteter kah ? (Ga tega saya, secara sakit pas dipasangnya)

Demikian pertanyaan saya

Makasih

E-DRUG: Children with HIV and AIDS Falling Through the Cracks of Treatment Scale-Up Efforts
----------------------------------------------------------

[Geneva/New York, 1 December 2011] - Less than one-quarter (23%) of children with HIV/AIDS who need treatment are getting it, according to a report released by the World Health Organization (WHO) on the occasion of World AIDS Day (1 December 2011). Although treatment coverage for adults has been steadily climbing and has now reached approximately half of those in need, coverage for children is lagging far behind, highlighted the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), a non-profit research and development organization that has recently launched a new paediatric HIV drug development programme.

'Children with HIV and AIDS are falling through the cracks', said Dr Bernard Pécoul, Executive Director of the DNDi. '250,000 children died of HIV-related complications in 2010 - that's nearly 700 each day. This is simply unacceptable.'

There are several reasons for this situation - including lack of access for pregnant women to antenatal care, HIV testing, and antiretrovirals (ARVs) to prevent mother-to-child transmission and treat expecting mothers, as well as difficulties diagnosing HIV in infants. But one of the most important, and overlooked, is the lack of suitable formulations of ARVs adapted for children, particularly babies and toddlers. The reason for this neglect lies, ironically, with the success of the virtual elimination of HIV among newborns in wealthy countries.

'There's little profit to be made from developing treatments for the millions of children with HIV, 90% of whom are the poorest of the poor in sub-Saharan Africa, and the lack of market incentive means pharmaceutical companies do not develop ARVs adapted to their needs', Dr Pécoul continued. 'Without treatment, half of the children born with HIV die before their second birthday.'

WHO recommends immediate ART for all HIV-positive children less than two years old, but the safety and correct dosing have not been established in very young children for the majority of ARVs approved for adults. In addition, key existing paediatric ARV formulations taste bad, require impractical multiple liquid preparations and refrigeration, and have undesirable interactions with tuberculosis (TB) drugs.

DNDi's new paediatric HIV programme aims to develop an improved first-line therapy for children under three years of age. Ideally, this ARV combination therapy needs to be easy to administer and better tolerated by children than current drugs, as well as heat stable and easily dispersible (dissolvable in water or breast milk). It must also carry minimal risk for developing resistance and require minimum weight adjustments. Finally, any new formulations must be compatible with TB drugs.

'Given the current funding crisis, we are deeply concerned that children with HIV - who are already invisible and largely voiceless - will fall even further down on the agenda', said Dr Marc Lallemant, Head of DNDi's Paediatric HIV Programme. 'And while everything possible needs to be done to achieve the long-term goal of "eliminating" new infections among infants, including through scale-up of prevention of mother-to-child transmission programmes, a more serious response is urgently needed for HIV-positive children today.'

E-DRUG: Global Kaletra Campaign Update for World AIDS Day
----------------------------------------------------

http://www.citizen.org/Kaletra-campaign

Earlier this month, civil society groups in a dozen countries launched a global campaign to challenge Abbott's monopolistic hold on the HIV medicines ritonavir (Norvir) and lopinavir + ritonavir (Kaletra, Aluvia). The campaign aims to reduce costs through generic competition and support the global treatment goals we will mark together on World AIDS Day.

We have posted license request letters, resource documents, translations, testimonials and other campaign documents at: http://www.citizen.org/Kaletra-campaign.

These include letters to Abbott and to governments from civil society groups and treatment providers in Vietnam, Indonesia, Peru, St. Maarten, Malaysia and China, as well as GTPI's patent opposition in Brasil, statements from ongoing campaigns in Colombia, Ecuador, India, Thailand and the United States, press coverage of the campaign and more.

Campaigners around the world have taken another step to expand access to second-line treatment. As the campaign moves forward we will continue to post technical documents and country updates on our website. For more information, write us at medsaccess@citizen.org.

Termasuk funding buat HIV dll

Jadi ...

E-DRUG: UNITAID STATEMENT ON WORLD AIDS DAY 2011
-------------------------------------------

Keep the Momentum on Quality, Innovation and Healthy Markets

Geneva, 1 December, 2011 -UNITAID is committed to building on 10 years
of historic progress in the fight against AIDS and keep the agenda
moving forward to the next level of cost-effective quality care.
Moreover, UNITAID will continue to advocate for markets that work
better to meet public health needs and where trade interests do not
hamper medicines access.

"While it is understandable that in the face of economic restrictions
the immediate reaction is to contain, we need to keep our eye on the
prize," said Philippe Douste-Blazy, Chair of UNITAID. "Ten years of
efforts have brought us to an historic turning point in treating AIDS
in the developing world. We need to keep that momentum - traditional
aid is vital, but we can also implement innovative ways of raising
additional funds. For instance, UNITAID has raised $ 1.3 billion in
five years, but there are other possible mechanisms such as a
financial transaction tax, which could be used to fund HIV/AIDS and
other public health priorities."

Funding, political will, innovation and evidence in the last ten years
have played a vital role in placing six million people living with
HIV/AIDS on treatment and giving hope to millions of others urgently
needing medicines. Global health and development actors have made the
money available stretch further by achieving progressively lower
prices and a sustainable supply of key HIV medicines, including the
development of simplified quality treatments through single pill
fixed-dose combinations for adults and children. Evidence today also
shows that quality-assured, safe and effective treatment can prevent
transmission as well as significantly improve the lives of people
living with HIV. This means that early, effective and quality-assured
treatment is the best value for money proposition we have to curb the
epidemic.

"We need to increase the number of people on treatment and build on
all the progress made on quality," noted Denis Broun, UNITAID
Executive Director. "What we have worked hard to realize for ten years
is becoming a reality today - people in the South are starting to
access the same medicines as people in the North, and what was once a
death sentence is today a chronic, manageable condition. After a
decade of diagnostics being out of reach of developing countries, we
are on the brink of bringing quality, affordable innovative
diagnostics into those markets, making treatment more effective and
timely. Global leaders and others need to capitalize on these
successes by supporting the momentum through steady, sustainable
funding and innovative interventions that work."

UNITAID has worked intensively to promote innovation in medicines -
such as child-friendly formulations; has created a space for more
sophisticated second-line treatments at lower cost, and is now looking
to bring innovative point-of-care tests to developing countries. By
using a market logic, UNITAID has managed to reduce the cost of some
of these products by as much as 80%, prices that are now accessible to
everyone.

"As we continue to reduce costs and introduce innovation into
developing country markets," added Denis Broun, "it is imperative that
larger players such as the Global Fund and PEPFAR are enabled to
continue increasing coverage. Decreasing or flat-lining their activity
due to dwindling funds will undo those hard won victories."
In addition to innovative approaches and funding, it is important that
a policy environment is created to secure markets that work better to
meet public health needs, and that trade interests will not disrupt
public health priorities. For instance, free trade agreements with
India - the largest provider of AIDS medicines to the developing world
- and other initiatives such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)
Agreement - should not include data exclusivity or other conditions
that will have a
